  • Establishment of monitoring and control areas
  • Monitoring of the groundwater level and the radioactive concentration of the groundwater
*Until one year from the time when the wastes were completely covered with soil.

  • ・Inspection of the preservation area
  • ・Restriction of specific human acts (e.g., digging, farming, and living) in the preservation area
  • ・Measurement of the radioactive concentration of the environmental groundwater/soil in case of necessary

VLL concrete waste arising from decommissioning of JPDR: approximately 1,670 ton
・Activated concrete: 1,310 ton
・Surface contaminated concrete: 360 ton
