Non-metal melting system

Description of the Non-metal Melting System

Combustibles and semi-combustibles, such as rubber and vinyl chloride, and incombustibles, such as glass and concrete, are treated using the Non-metal Melting System in the Waste Volume Reduction Facility (WVRF).
This system consists of the Incinerator, a Plasma furnace, and an Off gas treatment unit.
The furnace uses the plasma heating system to efficiently heat the incombustibles.

Molten-solidified waste package

Molten wastes (slag) are poured into receptacles that are packaged in 200 liter drums after cooling.. The receptacles are cast using the metal melting system.
