Description of evaporation and cementation
Description of evaporation and cementation
Liquid waste (categories A and B-1) is sent to the radioactive waste treatment facility No. 3 by tank lorry and stored in liquid waste storage tanks. The liquid waste is evaporated using an evaporator, and the resulting concentrate is uniformly solidified with cement and packed in 200 liter drums. The waste packages are stored in storage facilities after measurement of the radioactivity concentration, weighing, and so on. The condensate collected during evaporation is released to the environment after confirmation that the radioactivity concentration is below the limit for release.
Waste Treatment Facility No.3
Description of dilution
Liquid waste (categories under A) is diluted in a Dilution Pond and released to the environment after confirming that the radioactivity concentration is below the limit for release.

Cement package
The concentrate obtained following evaporation is mixed uniformly with cement in a mixer. The mixed waste is then contained in 200 liter drums. The waste packages are stored in storage facilities after measurement of the radioactivity concentration, weighing, and so on.
