The EC/JRC delegation to meet with vice president, Mr. ITAKURA Yasuhiro at the JAEA Tokyo office (5 October 2022)

Mr. Stephen QUEST, Director-General (DG) of The Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission (EC) and the EC/JRC delegation members had visited the JAEA Tokyo office to meet with Mr. ITAKURA Yasuhiro, vice president of JAEA on 5 October. The successful cooperation between JAEA and EC/JRC in the field of nuclear non-proliferation and security, over the past 32 years, was acknowledged. During the exchange of views, JAEA and EC/JRC were able to confirm the importance of continuous and further enhance mutual cooperation between both parties, in view of changing energy issues, which should be taken in to account the recent global situation regarding nuclear non-proliferation and security.
