Explanation of Aim

The Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA) has been promoting research and development on nuclear security technologies for applications such as measurement and detection of nuclear materials for nuclear security based on Japan's commitment at the 2010 Nuclear Security Summit. JAEA holds this international symposium for discussing the future direction of research and development on technologies for nuclear security with relevant researchers, policy makers, regulators, law enforcement, response forces, industries and so on.
This symposium consists of the following 3 sessions.
