The Use Fee for Joyo and the PIE Facilities

Use Fee for Joyo

The “cost of facility operation” for Joyo is calculated as the “irradiation costs.”
The irradiation costs are calculated as follows:
(Unit price of irradiation cost) × (Total neutron fluence) × (Volume of capsules, etc.)

An example of the “additional costs” for use of Joyo
・Manufacturing costs of irradiation rigs
When using a part of the rig, the cost for volume use is charged.
・Manufacturing cost of capsules, etc.

An example of the “waste costs” for Joyo use
・Liquid waste from cleaning the irradiation rigs, etc.

Use Fees for the PIE Facilities

The “cost of facility operation” for the PIE facilities (FMF, AGF and MMF) is calculated as the “PIE cost.”
The PIE cost is calculated as follows:
(Use fee per one hour for each PIE item) × (Hours used)

An example of the “additional costs” for use of the PIE facilities
・Jigs / Tools for test equipment
・Consumables for testing, etc.

・Samples already tested
・Irradiation capsule, etc.
