Won the Global Energy International Prize

Dr. YOSHIKAWA Masaji, former president of JAERI, was awarded the Global Energy International Prize of Russia. His contribution to the International Thermonuclear Reactor (ITER) Project was highly appreciated. He shares the prize with Russian Academician Evgeniy Velikhov, former chair of the ITER board, and Dr. Robert Aymar, head of the Department of Science in the French Atomic Energy Agency and former director of the ITER project, who lead the ITER project.
