Nuclear Emergency Assistance and Training Center (NEAT)

  •   NEAT is established in Hitachinaka City, Ibaraki Prefecture and Tsuruga City, Fukui Prefecture by the Japan Atomic Energy Agency as one of the designated public corporations based on the Basic Act on Disaster Management and the Armed Attack Situation Response Law, in order to provide effective personnel and technical support to the national government, local governments, police, fire departments, etc. in response to a nuclear or radiological emergencies.
