Report on the 1st Nuclear Physics and Gamma-ray sources for Nuclear Security and Nonproliferation

On January 28-30, 2014, the 1st International Symposium on Nuclear Security and Nonproliferation entitled "Nuclear Physics and Gamma-ray sources for Nuclear Security and Nonproliferation (NPNSNP)" was held in Tokai, Japan. In the symposium, active discussions were carried out by researchers from a wide range of scientific fields such as nuclear physics, accelerator physics, laser physics, etc. All participants recognized the presentations made by presenters valuable for future efforts in Nuclear Security and Nonproliferation.

In the closing remarks, it was announced that the next symposium will be hosted by the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in the next two years.
