Theme: “Investigation on analytical code improvement for Accident Tolerant Fuel (ATF) development”
The investigation for ATF development is conducted in the Development Group for LWR Advanced Technology, in the framework of national project budgeted by Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), Japan. In this project, the candidate is expected to research the latest information on ATF development in the world, and conduct the investigation of material properties for improvement of the fuel performance analytical code for ATF development

Qualification requirements
Candidates must have a doctoral degree at the date of the recruitment. The ones must be younger than 40 years old. The ones must have willingness and capability to work on ATF development with enthusiasm, and must have knowledge and experience on studies such as analysis on nuclear fuel behavior. The candidates must be able to discuss in English on the technical and scientific subject.
Terms of employment
(1) Salary: Approximately JY400,000 per month(including social insurance fee and tax)
(2) Allowance: Commutation and housing allowances are paid according to the JAEA regulation for employees.
(3) Working Hours: 9:00 am - 5:30 pm.
(4) Intermission: 12:00pm-1:00pm
(5) Holiday, leaves: weekend (Saturday and Sunday), Japanese national holidays, new year holidays, annual leaves, etc.
(6) Social Insurance, etc.: Health insurance, welfare pension insurance, corporate pension fund, employment insurance, workers accident compensation insurance.
(7) Welfare: Family resident and dormitory are available.
(8) Trial period: 6 months.

Travel Expenses

Points to note
(1) Selected candidate is required to submit a health certificate obtained in the last six month (including height, weight, eyesight, urine test results, chest X-ray results, etc.).
(2) Status of residence in Japan is required for candidates without Japanese nationality by the date of recruitment in order to work in JAEA.
