      (1) Research field:
      Capacity building assistance and technological development for nuclear nonproliferation and security

      (2) Research theme:
      Integrated Support Center for Nuclear Nonproliferation and Nuclear Security implements capacity building assistance and technological development in the field of nuclear nonproliferation and security. This is a contribution to the world for the peaceful use of atomic energy by using JAEA’s knowledges and technologies. The engineer of this recruitment surveys the newest trends of capacity building assistance and technological development, analyzes the information, and joins the following JAEA activities in this field.
      In capability building training courses, he/she will be placed in charge of training classes on nondestructive analyzing methods and the others.
      He/she also participates in development of nondestructive assay techniques. The tasks are simulation study using MCNP code, designing an analyzing system, development of a detector system, experiments, analysis of data, and writing reports.
      (This capability building and R&D is supported by the subsidiary for "promotion of strengthening nuclear security or the like" of MEXT)

    5. Qualification requirements

      (1) Having a degree higher than high school

      (2) Principally, a person having work experience, which JAEA recognize valuable, for a given period listed below:
      nine years after graduation of high school
      six years after graduation of junior college
      three year after graduation of university

      (3) Experience on nuclear energy research, and usage of simulation code of MCNP

      (4) Availability of communication skill with technical terms and of writing reports by English

      (5) Knowledge on nondestructive assay

    6. Terms of employment

      (1) Salary: Commensurate with the applicant’s capability and work experience.

      (2) Allowance: Commutation allowance, House allowance, etc.

      (3) Working hours
      9:00am-5:30pm (overtime work is required in needs)

      (4) Intermission: 12:00pm - 1:00pm

      (5) Holidays
      Weekend (Saturday and Sunday), National holidays, Year-end and new-year holidays, Paid holidays, etc.

      (6) Social insurance
      Health insurance, Welfare pension insurance, Employee’s pension fund,
      Employment insurance, Workers accident compensation insurance, etc.

      (7) Welfare: Institute family residence and dormitory are available.

      (8) Trial period: 6 months.

      Examinees will be decided based on the review of application documents. Review result will be informed by a letter. Application documents will not be returned.

      The result will be announced by a letter after the recruitment examination.

    15. Date of adoption

      In principle, after April 1, 2019 (tentatively)
      (The total contract term between the employer and JAEA can be extended for five years, under the condition of approval of annual review of research achievements, and of the grant from MEXT.)

    16. Travel Expenses

      We will pay travel expenses for the recruitment examination according to the JAEA’s provision.

    18. Points to note

      (1) Applicants who pass the recruitment examination are supposed to submit medical certificate taken within 6 months (including height, weight, eyesight, urinalysis, chest X-ray).

      (2) Candidates without Japanese nationality are required to have the certificate of eligibility by the date of adoption in order to obtain a work permit in Japan.

    19. Treatment of Personal Information

      Submitted personal information will be used for recruitment. Personal information of employee will be used for employment control. Other personal information will be scrapped 1 year later.
