Development of First-Principles Computational Methods and Machine-Learning Techniques for Hydrogen-Related Materials
Summary
Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA) invites applications for a fixed-term research fellow in the field of computational science, including computational physics, theoretical chemistry, and molecular simulations, aimed at promoting and advancing the overall materials research program. The appointed researcher will engage in the development of first-principles computational methods to analyze the properties of hydrogen-related materials based on quantum theory, and will promote materials DX using AI technologies such as machine learning force fields. Specifically, the successful candidate will engage in the acceleration and further development of the PIMD code being developed at the Center for Computational Science and Systems, and apply it to internal collaborative research programs on solids, liquids, and interfaces, where large-scale computations and highly accurate analyses that explicitly account for the quantum nature of hydrogen atoms are essential.
