Development of the beam diagnostic and control systems for high-intensity proton accelerator
(Summary)
The Accelerator Division of the J-PARC Center is conducting basic research to improve the performance of the J-PARC accelerator by upgrading and automating the beam diagnostics and control systems for more precise beam analysis and fault prediction. In this theme, we are developing an advanced beam diagnostics system to optimize the operation conditions for multiple beam destinations. In particular, the development of a beam diagnostics digitalization system that requires strict control for each operation mode, the upgrading of power supply control systems for equipment such as magnets, data taking system with automation using machine learning will be core of the research and development.

Qualification requirements
(1) Having a Ph D. degree in the field related to the research theme
(2) Those who have written three or more peer-reviewed main-authored papers
(3) Work experience or equivalent skill on accelerator technology development, particularly in beam diagnostics, accelerator control systems, and machine learning.
Terms of employment
(1) Holidays
Weekend (Saturday and Sunday), National holidays, Year-end and new-year holidays, Paid holidays, etc.

9:00am-5:30pm
(4) Salary (For example)
-Starting salary (Dr’s Degree): 258,300yen/month (Result in April, 2020)
-Allowance : Commutation allowance, Family allowance, House allowance , Research allowance, etc.
-Pay raise : Once per year.(Performance for last year)
-Bonus : Twice per year. (Performance for last year)
