      (2) Research theme:
      Radioisotope production for medical use in a fast reactor.
      (Summary)
      In the fast reactor cycle system research and development center, the research and development on the production of medical radioisotope (actiniumu-225) using the experimental fast reactor Joyo, have been conducting. In this theme, the demonstration test, including chemical separation, extraction, adjust the irradiated target prior to irradiation and installation of analysis equipments, will be planned and executed and the licensing work to conduct the test will be done in Joyo, which is scheduled to restart operation in the middle of FY2026. In the post-irradiation chemical separation, extraction, and purification, examine extraction materials and separation conditions suitable for the production of radioisotopes (RIs) for medical use, will be planed and experimental studies for RI production will be proposed, and research on the production of RIs for medical use as raw materials for pharmaceuticals will be conducted. In addition, we will work on upgrading Joyo irradiation tests (mainly fuel irradiation, etc.) and developing and introducing related post-irradiation examination techniques.

      9:00am-5:30pm (overtime work is required in needs)

      ‐Basic salary is provided considering years of experience in accordance with the JAEA regulation.

      【Calculation conditions of the examples】
      Shown above are model annual incomes for a staff member who is a college graduate and lives in Ibaraki Prefecture that works 15hours overtime per month and is provided service area allowance, housing allowance and bonuses.

      *Researchers and engineers are provided allowance (JPY 19,000~33,800/month) according to the certified classes qualified by JAEA qualification system for engineering and research.

    18. Points to note

      (1) Applicants who pass the recruitment examination are supposed to submit medical certificate taken within 6 months (including height, weight, eyesight, urinalysis, chest X-ray).

      (2) Applicants without Japanese Nationality are required to obtain a necessary visa status to work in Japan by the date of adoption.
