      (Summary)
      Center for Computational Science and e-Systems is conducting the development of
      state-of-the-art atomistic simulation technologies utilizing machine-learning techniques to promote more advanced and efficient nuclear R&D by computational science. In this theme, the applicant is expected to develop above-mentioned atomistic simulation technologies proactively through large-scale first-principles calculations and development of machine-learning molecular dynamics potentials using the supercomputer in JAEA. The applicant is also expected to apply these technologies for evaluation of material properties of nuclear fuels and materials for the safety assessment of existing and new nuclear reactors, for the elucidation of absorption mechanism of radioactive elements to clay minerals for environmental dynamics, and for the evaluation of material properties in functional materials widely used in the industry.

    5. Qualification requirements

      (1) Having a Ph D. degree(Science or Engineering)

      (2) Work experience on the atomistic simulations utilizing first-principles calculations and machine-learning molecular dynamics method.
