(Summary)
Research and development (R&D) for Accelerator-Driven nuclear transmutation Systems (ADS) are being conducted at J-PARC Center. As for the liquid lead-bismuth target technology for ADS, thermal-hydraulics study, materials corrosion tests and development of various sensors specific to liquid lead-bismuth are underway with using liquid lead-bismuth circulation loops. As for the proton beam technology, development of superconducting accelerator for ADS and measurement of nuclear reaction cross sections using the J-PARC’s GeV energy proton beam are underway. In this theme, R&D will be conducted on one of these R&D items.

Qualification requirements
(1) Having a Ph D. degree in the field related to the research theme
(2) Born after April 2, 1983
(3) It is desirable to have sufficient experimental technology or computer simulation technology in any of the fields such as thermal hydraulics, materials irradiation/corrosion, accelerator development, nuclear reaction/radiation measurement.
