The JAEA’s logo symbolizes our “duties” and “creativity and sincerity” using atoms as a motif.

As for the “JAEA’s duties”, speed and energy are especially emphasized inspired by R&D and operations of JAEA concerning nuclear power. Moreover, this logo represents our determination to open the way to the future of nuclear power and contribute to the welfare of human society through nuclear science and technology.

As for “creativity and sincerity”, the blue color represents creative R&D by young researchers and JAEA’s sincerity toward safety awareness and social responsibility.
