In order to proceed the decommissioning safely and rationally, it becomes not only important to develop a work plan that takes into account the reduction of worker exposure and minimization of the cost and the like in the planning stage, but also necessary to perform the work support at the site and the information management, etc. towards the disposal of the generated waste in the implementation stage. For this reason, in "Fugen", in order to realize these agendas before starting the decommissioning, we will build a decommissioning engineering support system(DEXUS*)using a computer as well as advance the further sophistication of it based on its achievements and experience after starting the decommissioning. More specifically, we will realize pre-evaluations, such as work man-hours in the demolition work, amount of radiation dose, amount of generated waste and dismantling process, as well as perform the sophistication of evaluation method based on the most recent dismantling achievement of "Fugen" by reflecting the results such as the Code System for Management of JPDR Decommissioning (COSMARD), etc. developed in the dismantling of the Japan Power Demonstration Reactor (JPDR) that was implemented for the first time in Japan and taking advantage of the three-dimensional CAD data and the virtual reality (VR) / visualization technology.
In addition, through a joint research with universities, we are promoting the development of technology to support the dismantling simulation in the site by using the augmented reality (AR) and visualization technology at the time of developing the work plan or during the dismantlement work.
In addition, for the knowledge based on these achievements and experience, we will promote to build and systematize it as a knowledge management system by foreseeing the deployment to the decommissioning of commercial reactors, etc. including not only the technical inheritance in "Fugen" as well.
