    1. Available positions

      One position

    2. Recruitment theme: Research and development on shape recognition automation and 3D visualization of structures.

Sector of Fukushima Research and Development collects environmental data (structure status, radiation dose, etc.) inside the reactor building for decommissioning work at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station. In addition, the Center develops a system to make work plans according to the environmental changes at the site and to estimate the exposure dose, by estimating the radiation source from these environmental data and visualizing the estimated results in cyberspace by digital technology.
For the collected environmental data, the difference information before and after the environmental change in decommissioning work is automatically synchronized on a daily basis. Therefore in this theme, the fellow develops a system that efficiently performs data conversion by introducing shape recognition by deep learning when generating data necessary for radiation source estimation calculation from the measured point cloud data. Furthermore, the fellow develops a system that visualizes the estimation results of radiation source in 3D using VR, which can be handled easily and interactively in the formulation of work plans.
