Theme: Study on containment vessel thermal hydraulics during severe accident in a light water reactor
Japan Atomic Energy Agency will conduct a program sponsored by Nuclear Regulation Authority, Japan (NRA), which is entitled “Entrusted research regarding disaster prevention measures for nuclear facilities (Investigation of containment vessel thermal hydraulics during sever accident in a light water reactor)”. In this program, the engineering knowledge and the evaluation method related to accident management measures will be developed to investigate the containment vessel thermal
hydraulic behavior during severe accident of LWR. As a part of this program, the experiment on containment vessel external cooling using the CIGMA facility is being performed, and in parallel with this, the verification and validation of related numerical simulation are carried out. In this study, as a member of the research group, the researcher is expected to lead the investigation of numerical analysis methodology through the experiment. In addition, the researcher is expected to promote understanding of physical behavior, and to develop and improve the models for the evaluation.

Qualification requirements
Candidates must have a doctoral degree and must have research careers as a researcher more than one year. In addition, candidates must have enough knowledge and experience on thermal hydraulic analysis for severe accident of light water reactor.
Terms of employment
(1) Salary: Annual salary system, commensurate with ability and performance
(2) Allowance: Commutation and housing allowances are paid according to employees.
(3) Working Hours: 9:00 am - 5:30 pm.
(4) Intermission: 12:00pm-1:00pm
(5) Holiday: Weekend (Saturday and Sunday), national holidays, year-end holidays, paid holidays.
(6) Social Insurance, etc.: Health insurance, welfare pension insurance, corporate pension fund, employment insurance, workers accident compensation insurance.
(7) Welfare: Family resident and dormitory are available.
(8) Trial period: 6 months.
