      Research and development of advanced technology for chemical analysis of radioactive nuclide
      (Summary)
      Accurate analyses of radioactive substances are key technologies supporting the nuclear energy usage. Chemical analyses of radionuclide require well-trained skills that the chemical separation and operation of specific nuclides become more complicated. To solve this problem, the new techniques for the specific nuclide to analyze more quickly and easily are expected. In this theme, new chemical analysis methods, such as a micro chemistry devise for trace analysis and new separation material for rapid operation, will be developed.

      Commensurate salary with the applicant’s work experience, Social Insurance, Commutation allowance, Institute family residence and bachelor’s dormitory are available.

    6. Terms of employment

      Contract term: One year
      Should you achieve outstanding results during your temporary employment, you could be offered a position as permanent Staff.

      6 months

      Weekend (Saturday and Sunday), National holidays, Year-end holidays, Paid holidays

    9. Qualification requirements

      (1) Having a Ph.D. degree. In principle, work experience as a permanent research staff or a postdoctoral fellow (at least for one year) is required.

      (2) Preferably having experience on research and development for chemical analysis method of radioactive substances or utilizing radiation.

      * Including one from the current supervisor is better.
      * Letter(s) written by a JAEA employee will not be accepted.

    21. Points to note

      (1) Applicants who receive a conditional offer of employment are supposed to submit medical certificate taken within 6 months (including height, weight, eyesight, urinalysis, chest X-ray).

      (2) Candidates without Japanese Nationality are required to have the certificate of eligibility by the date of adoption in order to obtain a work permit in Japan.
