Evaluation of hydrogen explosion and combustion behavior in storage vessel of radioactive wastes
(Summary)
In storage vessel of radioactive wastes including fuel debris, hydrogen may be spontaneously generated of water contained in the wastes by water radiolysis. This research program will evaluate hydrogen explosion and combustion behavior in storage vessel of radioactive wastes and the effects of explosion and combustion on storage vessel wall. The study includes development of analytical models and takes part in experiements in domestic and overseas facility using small closed vessels.

Salary and benefits
Salary commensurate with the applicant’s work experience and ability. Social Insurance, commutation allowance, institute family residences and bachelor’s dormitories are available.
Terms of employment
Contract term: One year
(The contract term can be extended up to five years upon annual review of research achievements.) If you will achieve outstanding results during your employment, you can be offered a permanent staff position.
Holidays
Weekend (Saturday and Sunday), National holidays, New Year’s Holidays, Paid holidays and annual leaves.
Qualifications
(1) a Ph.D.degree holder.
(2) In principle, having work experience for more than one year as a full-time teacher, full-time researcher, or post-doctoral fellow , and equivalent skills are required.
(3) Applicants must have experience of experimental and analytical experience on hydrogen explosion/combustion in close spaces except pipes and ducts, especially for the hydrogen flame acceleration except the fast deflagration and the detonation.
(4) It is more desirable for applicants to have research career related to the offered theme mentioned above, .
