Research and development of non-destructive assay techniques for nuclear fuels by neutron resonance transmission analysis
(This research and development will be done with a grant of MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology – Japan))
(Summary)
It has been expected that development of non-destructive assay techniques to accurately quantify high-dose nuclear materials in nuclear fuels such as spent and melted ones. For the purpose of establishing such techniques, we are seeking a postdoctoral fellow who will engage in the research and development of neutron resonance transmission analysis (NATA) with a D-T neutron generator. Specifically, the fellow will work on the research and developments of analytical methods of a time-of-flight spectrum to quantify nuclear materials and a compact NRTA system that would expand the applicability of NRTA, etc.
