    1. Number of employees

      Researcher: 1 person

    2. Recruitment field

"Theoretical study on spin current generation in non-equilibrium state"

A successful candidate will work on theoretical studies of conversion between spin- and charge currents. The spin current can be generated by external fields such as temperature gradient and/or ac magnetic field. Those mechanisms have been clarified by Spin-energy Transformation Science Group. In addition to those studies, a unified thoery involving those results becomes necessary. In the present theme, the candidate will construct a unified theory to describe spin current generation in a non-equilibrium state under a temperature gradient and/or a magnetic field. Furthermore, he/she is expected to propose new functional materials by spin current conversion based on his/her results. The project is supported by Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research on Innovative Areas, MEXT, Japan “Nano-Spin Conversion Science” (PI: Y. Otani, No.26103006) Expected is a motivated and ambitious researcher with Ph. D in physics or related subjects. The candidate should have a background in field theory of non-equilibrium state.
