      Study on higher performance J-PARC linac

      The linac and the 3GeV synchrotron (RCS) in Japan Proton Accelerator Research Complex (J-PARC) successfully accelerated and extracted 1MW beam for an hour. Based on detail simulation and experimental studies, the RCS capability to achieve 1.6 MW beam power is demonstrated. Since the linac is an injector of the RCS, it is important to accurately evaluate beam behavior in the linac to realize much higher beam power operation of the RCS. Furthermore, it is necessary to improve stability of devices for stable operation of accelerators.
      The candidate will perform beam dynamics simulations as well as develop high performance devices for the linac to realize higher beam power, high quality and stable beam of J-PARC accelerators.

      (1) Having a Ph D. degree in the field related to the research theme

      (2) Born after April 2, 1985

      -Starting salary(Dr’s Degree):256,800yen/month(Result in April,2019)
      -Allowance : Commutation allowance, Family allowance, House allowance , Research allowance, etc.
      -Pay raise : Once per year.(Performance for last year)
      -Bonus : Twice per year. (Performance for last year)
