Concept of geological disposal and sorption/diffusion phenomena
·Sorption/diffusion behavior of nuclides are important as one of the key factor of retarding nuclide migration in engineered barrier (vitrified waste, over pack, buffer material) and natural barrier (host rock) constituting geological disposal system, and these are widely variable affected by various conditions such as characteristics of each barrier, type of groundwater, dissolved species of nuclides, etc.
