Inauguration ceremony for �Aomori Research and Development Center� and �International Fusion Energy Research Center� held on 3rd July 2007

The inauguration ceremony for �Aomori Research and Development Center� and �International Fusion Energy Research Center� has been held on 3rd July at Obuchi MO Bldg. in where new office of the Centers locates.
Before the inauguration ceremony, the unveiling ceremony of the name plate has been held at the gate of the office building by Mr.Toshio Okazaki, the president of JAEA, Mr.Pascal Garin, the Project Leader of IFMIF-EVEDA, Mr.Tadamori Oshima, a member of the Diet, and 22 schoolchildren of Obuchi elementary school who will undertake a responsibility for future.
The inauguration ceremony of the Centers, subsequently, has been held successfully under attending roughly 200 people including Mr.Shingo Mimura, the Governor of Aomori Prefecture, Mr.Tadamori Oshima, a member of the Diet, Mr.Philippe DE TAXIS DU POET, First Counselor of the Delegation of European Commission to Japan, Mr.Kenji Furukawa, the Mayor of Rokkasho Village, local people, and organizations concerned. Furthermore a celebration message by Mr.Koji Omi, the minister of Finance, and also the Chairman of the Diet Member�s Union for Nuclear Fusion was introduced with a video massage, in which he told a strong message that we must invite a future DEMO fusion reactor to Japan by all means.
