| 3.1 Approach to the investigations in the Phase I |
Surface-based investigations techniques applied to the Phase I are as follows.
obtain data on the geological environment from ground surface
construct models of the geological environment
predict the effects of shaft excavation on the geological environment.
The validity of these techniques is evaluated by comparing the result of above-mentioned prediction and the data obtained through the shaft excavation in the Phase II. Also, the correlation between (a) varieties/amounts of investigations, analyses/evaluation technique and (b) accuracy of the results should be understood. For this reason, approaches of investigations and analyses are set. (Fig.3.1). This approaches are to be repeated.
