As is described in Chapter 2.3, the MIU Project is carried out in the Shobasama site owned by JNC (Fig.2.5). In order to improve the accuracy of groundwater flow simulation carried out in the MIU Project, the study area should be set based on the topography and properties of the geological environment. Thus, the results of the Regional Hydrogeological Study Project (henceforth, 'RHS Project') whose study area includes Shobasama site, could be fully utilized¹⁵⁾.
