Cost reduction is one of key issue for the practical use of FBR.Therefore,development
of high-performance fuels and materials applicable to the several environmental
conditions expected in future FBR is conducted to reduce fuel cycle cost
in addition to the improvement of safety. Irradiation tests for the nitride fuel and minor actinide nuclides transmutation are planned to develop innovative technologies. |

Instrumented test facilities have on-line monitor to obtain irradiation
data during reactor operation. INTA is equipped with FP gas pressure gauge, flow velocity meter, thermocouple and neutron detector. MARICO is able to control irradiation temperature during creep rupture test under irradiation. EXIR is also irradiation temperature control facility installed in the safety vessel. UPR is structure material irradiation rig irradiated in upper core field. |
