Located in Vienna are International Atomic Energy Organization (IAEA) and Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO). JAEA Vienna Office collects up-to-date information concerning activities of those organizations, as well as nuclear energy trends in Central and Eastern Europe, Russia, etc. We gather and analyze the information through attending meetings, interviewing with officials concerned, and utilizing the media. We also arrange meetings with IAEA and CTBTO and share necessary information, as well as to negotiate concluding and modifying arrangements such as research cooperation arrangements. Furthermore, we provide various kinds of supports for JAEA staff who work for or visit IAEA and other organizations.
