So far, JAEA has concluded a preparatory contract with Orano,France regarding the transport of spent fuel, conducted technical studies on reprocessing and transport, and proceeded with the manufacturing of transport casks.On June 24, 2022, JAEA signed a implementation contract with Orano,France for the transport and reprocessing of spent fuel from the Fugen.We aim to start the transport in 2023 and finish it by the summer of 2026, and we are continuing to carry out preparatory work for receiving of transfer Cask and maintenance work for the related facilities and equipment.
