　Periodical Inspection

The achievements of the Fugen Project in terms of nuclear fuel cycle have been described earlier. The technological feasibility of the power plant is demonstrated in its safe operational performance without any troubles or malfunction resulting from specific characteristics of the design of the pressure tube type heavy water reactor. Periodical inspections have been conducted up to 17 times using domestic technologies. Maintenance management and overhauling methods have been established while maintenance and aging data on equipment and components have been stored. These efforts have proved the long-term reliability of domestic equipment.
