    2. Recruitment theme:

      "Research on chemisorption behaviors between cesium and stainless steels"
      Cesium (Cs) chemisorption onto stainless steels (SS) under severe accident conditions need to be clarified to estimate the amount of Cs present in upper regions of the reactor pressure vessels in the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station, which should be a concern for radiation exposure of workers. A chemisorption model is to be established through experiments under simulated accident conditions such as temperature and atmosphere, considering major chemical species identified by the experiments.
      (This work will be conducted as part of JFY2014 supplementary budget "subsidiary fund for Project of Decommissioning and Contaminated Water Management (Upgrading level of grasping state inside reactor)")

    5. Qualification requirements

      Candidates must have a doctoral degree (including applicants who will receive their doctoral degree by the time of employment) or equivalent ability.

    6. Terms of employments

      (1) Salary: approximately JY420,000 per month (including social insurance fee and tax)

      (2) Benefits: Commuting costs and housing allowance are provided at the same level with regular employees.

      (3) Working Hours: 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

      (4) Holiday: Weekend (Saturday and Sunday), national holidays, beginning/end of year holidays, paid holidays.

      (5) Social Insurance, etc.: Health insurance, welfare pension insurance, corporate pension fund, unemployment insurance, workers accident compensation insurance.

      (6) Lodgings: Institute family resident and dormitory are available.

    10. Document examination

      Examinees will be decided based on a review of the application documents. The result of the review will be notified via email or post. Application documents will not be returned to the applicant.

    18. Points to note

      (1) Applicants who pass the document examination are supposed to submit medical certificate taken within 6 months (including height, weight, eyesight, urinalysis, chest X-ray).

      (2) Candidates without Japanese Nationality are required to have the certificate of eligibility by the date of adoption in order to obtain a work permit in Japan.

    19. Treatment of personal information

      The submitted personal information will be used for recruitment only. Personal information of employee will be used for employment control. Other personal information will be scrapped 1 year after submission.
