(1) Field: Condensed-Matter Physics, High-pressure, Neutron Science

(2) Research Topics: "Research on high-density hydrides using intense pulse neutron source"
The crystal structures mainly for hydrides containing heavy elements from light-metal elements are studied by high-pressure neutron diffraction with intense pulse neutron source. Based on this data, hydrogen positions in high-density hydrides are clarified and the basic physical properties leading to synthesis of new hydrogen storage materials are obtained.
The research program will be conducted under the NEDO’s project of ‘Advanced Study of Hydrogen Storage Materials" starting from August, 2007.

(3) Working hours: 9 am - 5:30 pm


4. Qualification for Application
Candidates must have a PhD degree (including applicants who will receive their PhD degree by the time of employment)


5. Beginning of Employment
After April 1, 2010


6. Terms of employment
(1)Salary:~450,000 yen/month (inclusive of taxes and national health insurance)
(2)Employment period:Until March 31, 2011. (The contract term can be extended up to February 29, 2012 upon annual review of research achievements.)
(3)Commuting and Housing allowances: The same as staff members are provided.
(4)Holidays:weekends, national holidays, year-end holidays, paid holidays, etc.
(5) Social Insurance, etc…
Health insurance, welfare pension insurance, employee's pension fund, unemployment insurance, workers accident compensation insurance, Institute family resident and dormitory are availavle.
