On the news report on the Chinese Experimental Fast Reactor

On January 25 issue of the Sankei Sinbun, there was an article stating that JAEA found through its investigation that the Chinese Experimental Fast Reactor stopped operation due to an accident which occurred in the turbine building. However, it is not based on the information JAEA obtained officially.

At this point, JAEA does not have adequate information about the reported situation of the reactor, and it is extremely regrettable that such unconfirmed information went out to news media. At the same time, JAEA will raise an alert of its entire staff to prevent the recurrence of such an event.
