Development of technologies has been carried out for recovery of uranium that remains in the uranium enrichment equipment. This is carried out in collaboration with private power companies to demonstrate the practicability of technologies for the recovery of hold-up uranium after vaporization of UF6 (uranium hexafluoride). The technologies are expected to contribute to securing safety, efficiency and volume reduction of waste prior to dismantling.
