Objectives
Nuclear terrorism is recognized as one of the most urgent and major threats against international security resulting to the development of various countermeasures in the international community. Given this situation, countermeasures on nuclear terrorism are required in large-scale public events like the forthcoming Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2020.
In this year's forum, we will focus on large-scale public events and address training, technology and past good practices needed to strengthen nuclear security. In addition, we will discuss future strategies such as human resource development which is essential for strengthening nuclear nonproliferation and nuclear security, especially the collaboration among industry, government and the academic circles.
